Test objectives support an evaluation of the system's resiliency in a mission context, using realistic threat exploitation techniques, while in a representative operating environment. Test objectives should demonstrate operational resiliency in the face of validated cyber threats. One way to evaluate system cyber survivability and operational resilience is to include the DCO team during ACD events and to perform a preliminary assessment of the system's ability to protect the system from cyber intrusions and threats, detect and prevent threat activity, mitigate the effects of threat activity, and recover mission capability degraded or lost due to threat activity.
