Setting up the ASSURANT™ Application

Why is ASSURANT™ not saving to my OneDrive?

The ASSURANT™ application currently needs proper permissions for Read and Write capabilities on your device. It is best practice to download ASSURANT™ to a location on your system that is not affected by OneDrive.

If the ASSURANT™ application must be placed inside of OneDrive, please right-click on the unzipped folder and select “Always keep on this device” to solve this issue.

Methodology

What types of systems have been modeled in ASSURANT™?

The ASSURANT™ application has been used to model out a large variety of systems, ranging from Ground Vehicles, to Aircraft, and to Satellites. It has also been used to model the Network a team or squadron uses. The ASSURANT™ application can also be used to model basic systems, like cell phones or laptops, to large Platform systems.

Advisor Services

Where does the data come from for the Advisor Services?
The data for the Advisor Services are pulled from various sources (MITRE, CVEs, CWEs, etc) into an Elastic Search Server, which the ASSURANT™ sends queries to to pull their data to be applied in the model.

What type of reports can be generated by ASSURANT™?
The ASSURANT™ application offers several reports to be generated as Microsoft Word documents. These types of are

Also, the ASSURANT™ application offers capabilities to generate several PDF reports fitting with Mitre TRACE analysis.

Importing and Exporting

Can I create a SBOM from ASSURANT™?
The ASSURANT™ application allows for the user to import and export SBOM files from the Software Properties on Entity nodes. After you create software instances on the desired Entity, from the “Set Software” window select the “Export SBOM” to export a SBOM file in CycloneDX JSON format to your desired location.
